Looking for something a bit different to do this summer?

Then head to Rove Downtown, who have teamed up with Escape Hunt Dubai to offer an awesome new interactive virtual reality challenge that takes you on a spy mission to win prizes.

Running until September 21, “Operation Mindfall” centres around an undercover spy operation, and gives you 60 minutes to solve clues in various rooms in the hotel to stop a deadly virus and save the world from losing their minds.

Armed with an iPad that allows you to see the augmented reality hotspots and a briefcase containing clues and spy tools, you and your team will have to work together to crack the codes and beat the clock.

The game is designed to test your logic and teamwork, with spy missions requiring players to solve clues, riddles and even mix up chemical solutions to get through to the next stage of the game. All ages can play, however we recommend that an adult or two accompany the young ones as some of the rounds can be quite challenging.

Operation Mindfall is available to play from 1pm to 10pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday until September 21, with multiple time slots available. Suitable for teams of 2 to 5 people, it’s a super-fun way to spend the afternoon and is priced at Dhs99 per person.

Awesome prizes are up for grabs on the completion of the escape hunt challenge, if you needed a little extra incentive. All undercover agents who take part in the game will win a buy one get one free voucher for the Bench Brunch at Rove Downtown and a 25 percent discount voucher to any Escape Hunt game.

There’s also more free brunch vouchers, a free game at Escape Hunt’s Galleria Mall branch and even an overnight stay at Rove Downtown with tickets to Dubai Parks to be won.
