Almond shower oil. Shea butter hand cream. Immortelle reset serum. Not the kinds of items you’d expect to find in a café, but then again, you’ve probably never been to L’Occitane Café.

Over the past few years, the iconic skincare and beauty brand has opened several cafes around the world, including China, Japan, France and the UK, and the latest to open, in City Walk, Dubai is its most exciting to date and the first ever to open in the Middle East.

Serving as a hybrid venue, at the L’Occitane Café City Walk, you can discover the latest launches from the natural beauty brand, enjoy free head and hand massages at the L’Occitane massage bar, and taste the flavours on the South of France – all in one visit.

Pairing fragrance with flavour, L’Occitane Café’s Provence-inspired mocktail menu incorporates many of the natural ingredients found in some of their cosmetic products. For example, there’s the adaption of immortelle flowers (used in L’Occitane’s skin care collection) inside the beautiful Bicycle of the Sun mocktail, and lavender (used in L’Occitane’s bath products) infused into the Rainbow mocktail.

Meanwhile, the gourmet cuisine, inspired by the south of France, is as decadent as the drinks. Try the crispy almond encrusted calamari (another nod to the brand’s use of almond in its bodycare range), a hearty beef short rib, slow-cooked and tender and served with pillowy potato gnocchi, or the juicy raclette burger, where the patty is topped tableside with liquified raclette cheese and cradled in a turmeric flavoured brioche bun. Gourmet, decadent, and wonderfully indulgent.

Liquified cheese anyone?
