Chef Mauro Colagreco will oversee three restaurants at One&Only Royal Mirage from November…

His restaurant Mirazur was recently raked as the world’s best restaurant, and now chef Mauro Colagreco is set to turn his attentions to not one, but three restaurants in Dubai.

Chef Mauro is set to collaborate on three restaurants at One&Only Royal Mirage; fine dining restaurant Celebrities, The Beach Bar & Grill, which overlooks Palm Island bay and Esplanade, at the Grand Pool.

The acclaimed chef will oversee the restaurants from November 2019, and will introduce new concepts and menus at all three restaurants, inspired by his diverse heritage and impressive culinary experiences.

“I am honoured to bring my culinary creativity to a resort which is recognised as one of the most exceptional, service-led properties in the world,” said Chef Mauro Colagreco of the partnership.

Born and raised in Argentina, with a heavy influence from his Italian grandparents, chef Mauro Colagreco worked at some of Argentina’s most prestigious restaurants before heading to France to take an internship in 2003. He came up the ranks before opening his restaurant, Mirazur in Menton on the French Riviera in 2006. In less than a year, the restaurant received it’s first Michelin star, followed by a second in February 2012 and a third in February 2019.

In September 2019, Mirazur was voted number one in the world at The World’s 50 Best Restaurant Awards 2019. It is the first time that France has received the number one position since The World’s 50 Best began in 2002.

The prestigious culinary award was previously awarded to chef Massimo Bottura in 2018, who also recently opened a Dubai outpost on the Palm Jumeirah. His first restaurant outside Italy, the playful concept, Torno Subito, is inspired by Massimo’s childhood, and is found on the beachfront of W Dubai – The Palm.
