Here’s why it’s set to become your brand new sundowner spot…

After closing its doors in Dubai’s Business Bay in October, popular rooftop bar Iris has relocated to Meydan and will open its doors on Saturday November 9.

Occupying a much larger plot, Iris Dubai at Meydan will have space for no less than 1,500 guests at its new open-air home.

While no images have been revealed yet, the modern outdoor lounge bar is described as “elegant, natural, sensuous and free-spirited”.

Initial renders show that a long, central bar is the focal point of the new outdoor hotspot, with lines of high bar tables behind it. Elevated lounge tables surround the edge, and a neutral palette of white, grey and woods is interrupted by leafy foliage separating each of the dedicated areas.

Like it did in Business Bay, the new Iris Dubai promises incredible Downtown Skyline and wider city views. Opening each day from 5pm, we can imagine that this will make for a perfect weekend sundowner spot.

On the menu, guests can expect to tuck into a fusion flavours from the Mediterranean, Japan and South America, all served up alongside the master mixology that has firmly put Iris on the map of Dubai’s best bars.

At its Business Bay location, Iris operated for six successful years, becoming popular for its sunset sets accompanied by some brilliant live music, so we’re hoping for more of the same at its new location in Meydan.

Iris Dubai is one of two new openings coming to Meydan this week, as the Soho Garden complex also continues to expand. Opening from Wednesday November 6, Soho Garden’s The Deck has been transformed to offer a new open-air clubbing experience, that’ll see rapper Ty Dolla Sign perform on opening night.

We can’t wait to check it out.
