Summer is officially over if we are to believe the calendar, and what better way to welcome in cooler climes than with an enormous two-day bash at Media One Hotel?

It was double trouble this time around with not one but two What’s On Lock Ins in the space of one month. We kicked off both weekends with a host of freebies for our 250 guests including free beard trims from Bristles & Mane, free piercings courtesy of top-end piercing studio KYRAcare, and, for the first time ever, the Lock In welcomed legit tattoo company Dubai Hills Studio to the festivities, who offered free real tattoos to guests. Our minds are still blown by that one…

At noon, guests rocked up with their glad rags and masks on to Garden on 8 for three hours of brunch fun. Meanwhile, our stalwart TEPfactor crew provided the entertainment offering heart-thumping challenges for everyone to try. Post brunch, it was drinks at Mr Miyagi’s, rounding off the night with live music (and more drinks) down at QWERTY.

Day two began with a morning yoga session run by the Phoenix Rising gang, followed by a much-needed hearty breakfast. It was then out to Coco Lounge for some poolside fun and to nurse a rather sore head.

Join us for the next Lock In, as we head to the capital…
