1. Celebrate Yorkshire Pudding Day

Even though February 7 is National Yorkshire Pudding Day, Bread Street Kitchen is celebrating all this week. The British restaurant is getting involved with the special day by offering special dishes incorporating the battered treat. From toad in the hole to steak and kidney stew in a giant Yorkshire pudding, the dishes have been designed by Head Chef Cesar Bartolini.

2. Put your general knowledge to the test

TJs outdoor bar in Dubai

Every Sunday, neighbourhood hangout TJ’s hosts a trivia night. Lead by quizmaster Dylan Nikoletopoulos, the three-hour quiz is your chance to show off what you know for the chance to win big prizes. Subjects include music, food, sports, geography and more, while the prizes up for grabs are buckets of beer, brunch vouchers and dining vouchers to redeem at Shamiana.

3. Check out these cool new murals

A series of Instagrammable new art murals have popped up on Palm West Beach. The magnificent murals are by Shahul Hameed whose work can be found across various spots all across UAE. In Dubai, his eye-catching work can be seen at Dubai Festival City Mall, the Indian court at Ibn Battuta Mall, inside the hotel rooms at Radisson Red and many more spots. Palm West Beach which is already pretty lively with beachgoers, diners and those taking a stroll and this is only further elevated thanks to the vibrant pops of colour from the murals.

4. Take part in a yoga class under water

Lose yourself in the calming surroundings of The Lost Chambers Aquarium. The famed Dubai attraction offers unique underwater yoga classes three times a week. Atlantis, The Palm hosts these sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday, against the enchanting backdrop of more than 65,000 marine animals. Between 8am and 9am, you’ll be led by an expert yogi in The Ambassador Lagoon.

5. Meet the girls at a local spot

Pangolin’s chic rooftop terrace, Highlands, gets lively on a Tuesday night, thanks to its wallet-friendly ladies’ night deal. For Dhs129, the girls can enjoy a platter of cured meats, cheeses and olives plus four glasses of house wine. There’s a warm atmosphere thanks to the cheerful staff and surrounding greenery, ideal for a casual catch up with friends.

The pretty lake next to Burj Park, Downtown Dubai, has a range of water activities for visitors to try out. What’s On had a go on the Instagrammable swans and had a blast riding around and taking in the sights. There’s a great view of Burj Khalifa, and if the swans aren’t for you there’s also clear kayaks and water bikes.
