The 75-storey tower has six dining outlets and two incredible rooftop pools…

If you’re looking for a new wow-worthy staycation spot, consider adding SLS Dubai to your list. The incredible 75-storey, 254-room hotel has been in the works for a while, and is officially open as of today, Monday April 5.

Upon arrival, guests will be presented with a huge (and we mean huge) stained glass window feature with colourful wings, and ‘fortune favours the bold’ in bright lettering.

Zoom to the top of the building in an elevator (almost as fast as the world’s tallest building), and you’ll arrive at the huge lobby, which offers floor-to-ceiling views of Dubai’s expansive landscape.

The most notable feature of the new hotel can be found on the rooftop. Not one, but two record breaking infinity pools overlook the Dubai skyline, including an unobstructed view of Burj Khalifa.

Adjacent to the pool is Privilege, a lounge and nightclub set to become your new late night hangout. The terrace and bar offers a haven to relax in the sun and enjoy fresh fruit while taking in the ambient surroundings.

Throughout the hotel you’ll find incredible views, and attention to detail at every turn. SLS is known as a fun lifestyle brand, and it has several animal-themed mascots hidden around the property.

On the rooftop is a huge painted rubber duck, poised ready to accompany your next Instagram shot. From the lobby to the spa, you’ll find these small touches of character – even the monkeys on the lift screen are wearing Covid masks.

The first restaurant to open its doors is Fi’lia, meaning ‘daughter’. The female-led venue is bright and welcoming, with plenty of rose gold decor and a huge outdoor terrace overlooking the city.

Also set to wow you is Carna, a new concept by acclaimed Italian butcher Dario Cecchini. Located on the 74th floor, the menu will of course have a focus on meat, but will also be home to the largest whiskey collection in Dubai.
