Sponsored: The setting is truly stunning…

You might have tried and tested many of Dubai’s Iftars and Suhoors but if you haven’t yet tried one at Ninive, you absolutely need it on your bucket list. The setting is truly stunning – a traditional Arabic majlis in the heart of the city.

You’ll find Ninive at Jumeirah Emirates Towers. The open-air lounge embodies the spirit of Arabic culture and style, with cushy booths lined with plump striped cushions in hues of red and gold, beautifully draped silks and authentic Arabic lanterns.

With leafy green trees and plants framing the scene, you could be forgiven for thinking you were dining out in the desert, if it wasn’t for Dubai’s many skyscrapers glittering against the velvety night sky. There are plenty of games to enjoy whilst you’re here such as backgammon or cards.

Iftar takes place at Ninive every day from 7pm to 9pm. To start, tuck into dishes such as pumpkin humous with cumin seeds, hamour fish kibbeh and a fresh mango tabouleh salad. For mains, there’s bulgur, roasted lamb and chickpeas, as well as a traditional chicken tagine.

To end on a sweet note, enjoy a range of desserts including fresh watermelon, orange and almond sorbet, caramel mouhalabieh and assorted Arabic sweets. A selection of water and fresh juices are included in the package which is priced at Dhs250 per person.

When you’ve eaten your fill, you’re welcome to stay around to enjoy Suhoor, which runs from 9.30pm until 2am.
