We’re not surprised…

Dubai is constantly evolving and pushing boundaries when it comes to incredible buildings, record-breaking feats and technological wonders. Now, the amazing ‘Museum of the Future’ building has been named one of the world’s most beautiful museums.

National Geographic magazine made the list, and with its eye-catching design, we are not surprised that the Museum of the Future made it onto the list. The jaw-dropping structure is a unique design shaped like an eye with a hollowed-out middle and covers an area of 30,000 square metres and is 7-stories standing at 77m high.

The Museum of the Future will explore the future of science, technology and innovation and Sheikh Mohammed had previously said that it will be ‘an incubator for ideas, a driver for innovation, and a destination for inventors and entrepreneurs from around the world’.

An official opening date has yet to be revealed.  Other museums that made it onto the list include Shanghai Museum of Astronomy in China, the National Museum of African American History and Culture in the US capital, Washington, and the Guggenheim Bilbao Museum in Spain.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Managing Director of the Dubai Future Foundation said: “Dubai has established itself as a centre for creativity, thanks to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE and Ruler of Dubai. The emirate’s ambitions are reflected in an engineering miracle like Dubai’s Museum of the Future that has been globally recognised as the world’s most beautiful museums even before its completion.”
