Tuesday March 1

Slurp down oysters at a festival

Dibba Bay, the first farm in the Middle East to grow gourmet oysters, is launching it’s first annual oyster festival this week. Running from March 1 to 6, there’s deals to be had on Dibba Bay’s famous oysters in restaurants across town from Boca and BB’s to Atlantis The Palm. For authentic seaside vibes, head to Dibba Bay’s farm shop where “Oyster Hour” specials run all week, with oysters as low as Dhs8 per shuck.

Saudi Film Nights is a three-day celebration of Saudi Arabia’s rising cinema sector, taking place at Expo 2020 Dubai from February 28 to March 2. Screenings of short films and thought-provoking panel discussions are taking place at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Pavilion, Morocco Pavilion, Spain Pavilion and Terra Auditorium from 2pm to 10pm each day. It’s free to attend with a valid Expo ticket.

Have a flipping fantastic pancake day

Steven Bartlett is an entrepreneur, author, podcaster and most-recently, a ‘dragon’ on hit BBC show Dragons’ Den. His weekly podcast The Diary of a CEO is the number one podcast in its category, and regularly tops the overall charts, giving insights into the side of business that CEOs don’t normally show. ‘An Evening with Steven Bartlett & Guests’ will be coming to Dubai Opera on Wednesday March 2, and offer Dubai residents a chance to ask Steven questions live on the night. Celebrate Sakura season with a tasting menu
