The Botanist takes over folly's rooftop for new juniper and jazz nights

The Botanist, the world’s no.4 selling super premium juniper spirit, has transformed The Rooftop at folly, Souk Madinat Jumeirah, this season.

Every Wednesday evening from March 9, guests are invited to travel back to the roaring twenties as they enjoy panoramic rooftop views while The Botanist hosts its ‘Juniper & Jazz’ evening with UAE-based saxophonist, Leo Alcantara. Priced at Dhs550 per couple (or mate date), the evening includes two hours of flowing gin cocktails and folly’s famed bar bites, including hand cut fries with truffle and Parmesan, lamb koftas with minted yoghurt and salmon croquettes with smoked hollandaise.

“Since the opening of folly, we’ve always grown fresh herbs and leaves such as fresh mint on our garden terrace, which we use to finish off our drinks. The Botanist is the perfect brand partner as we have the same vision when it comes to our product and customer experience – we only provide the best,” says Nick Alvis, the main man and chef behind folly’s success.

The Botanist is conceived, distilled and hand-crafted on Islay using 22 foraged island botanicals. Professional forager James Donaldson hand-picks the botanicals for The Botanist one by one throughout spring, summer and autumn across the hills, bogs and shores of Islay, a Scottish Hebridean Island. The botanicals are then dried carefully before being distilled at Bruichladdich Distillery.
