In pics: Plans for Marsa Al Jubail mega project unveiled
Complete with yacht club low-impact luxury housing…
Why settle for a simple project when you’ve got plenty of ideas for mega ones at home?
That’s been Abu Dhabi’s mantra for a while now and it’s really been working for them. In the past few years alone we’ve seen concepts like the Yas Bay Waterfront, Al Qana and Mamsha Al Saadiyat reinvigorating the leisure and entertainment energy of the capital. And there are plenty more on the horizon.
These innovative feats of engineering are built on the vision of companies like Lead Development, who are taking the *ahem* lead on shaping the future of Jubail, as part of the island’s Dhs10 billion redevelopment project.
It takes a village
Jubail Island is located between Yas and Saadiyat islands, connected by a bridge and is already home to the breathtaking Jubail Mangrove Park. Developer, Lead’s main focus is on sustainable living, planting minimum-impact homes and businesses into the stunning natural beauty that surrounds the development so that the two worlds can live, and thrive, in harmony.
There will be six ‘villages’ on the Island each with their own theme and purpose. Souk Al Jubail will obviously house The Souk. There’s Marsa Al Jubail — AKA The Marina, a waterfront strip with berths for bobbing yachts. Seef Al Jubail or ‘The Club’ filled with spas, wellness centres, beach clubs and luxury hotels. You’ll find schools and educational institutions in Nad Al Dhabi. And we know the other two communities are called Ain Al Maha and Bed’a Al Jubail, but we’ll have to wait to discover what treasures they hold.
What do you marina..?
Marsa Al Jubail will include a 65-berth world-class marina, a ‘members-only Yacht Club’, promenade, a gym, and yacht amenities. There will also be “low-rise, low-impact” housing — comprised of 36 luxury villas.
Talking about the project, Mahmoud Dandashly, Chief Business Officer of Lead Development said “We are thrilled to be unveiling our newest waterfront development – Marsa Al Jubail. The new waterfront community will offer residents a boutique, private and tranquil island setting, unlike anything else in the capital.”
“The luxurious and contemporary villas, along with a signature Yacht Club will provide residents with a wellbeing-focused lifestyle surround by unrivalled natural beauty.”
“Marsa Al Jubail Villas, located in Marfaa Al Jubail Village, is the latest community at the heart of the landmark destination – a premier community that offers the very essence of upscale marina living as part of the larger, overall mixed-use island development.”
