UAE weather: Rain and cooler temperatures expected this week
Summer officially began in the UAE today, but this week’s UAE weather forecast has a surprise in store
While the hottest season of the year has officially started, the UAE weather forecast suggests residents could see rain, cooler temperatures and even fog over the next few days, according to the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM).
Monday is expected to stay mostly clear, with some clouds developing over the eastern parts of the country. Humidity will increase overnight and into Tuesday morning, creating the chance of fog or mist in some coastal and inland areas.

Rain expected from Tuesday
From Tuesday afternoon, cloud build-up is expected to bring showers to parts of the UAE, particularly across the eastern regions.
Similar weather is forecast for Wednesday, with more rain-bearing clouds likely to develop during the afternoon.
If you’re heading out later in the day, it’s worth keeping an eye on the forecast as conditions could change quickly.

Cooler weather by Thursday
By Thursday, temperatures are expected to drop slightly, especially across western parts of the UAE.
Fresh north-westerly winds are also expected, with speeds of between 10 and 25kph and gusts reaching up to 40kph in some areas. These stronger winds could cause blowing dust in exposed locations.
Sea conditions in the Arabian Gulf are also expected to become rough at times, particularly in western waters, so anyone planning a trip out on the water should check the latest marine forecast before setting off.
While summer has officially arrived in the UAE, the week ahead looks set to begin with a welcome break from the usual heat, bringing a mix of rain, clouds and slightly cooler conditions before temperatures climb again.
