The latest air travel information from airlines around the world
After several months of disruption to air travel across the Middle East, airlines are now resuming regular operations. If you’re looking to fly to or through the UAE, here’s the latest information on which airlines are flying to Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and when routes will resume for airlines with flights currently suspended.

New: Riyadh Air

Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia’s brand-new national carrier, launched flights between the Saudi capital and Dubai on June 18, with wallet-friendly fares from just Dhs395 one-way. The daily service now operates on freshly delivered Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners. The Riyadh-Dubai route is one of six international services the airline is rolling out this summer, alongside London, Cairo, Jeddah, Madrid and Manchester.
Update: Cathay Pacific
On July 2, Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific announced that it would be resuming flights between Dubai and Hong Kong from September 1. The airline will restore its daily passenger service between the two cities alongside a four-times-weekly route between Hong Kong and Riyadh.
Emirates

Emirates has returned to almost its full network, servicing passengers travelling from, to and through Dubai. As of May 6, the airline has restored 96% of its flights. The airline is now operating to 137 destinations across 72 countries, with over 1,300 weekly frequencies, representing 75% of pre-disruption capacity.
Etihad
Etihad’s flight network is now operating at almost full capacity after gradually reintroducing flights from the start of March. The Abu Dhabi carrier is now running over 300 flights per day to its full-time network as well as a fresh wave of seasonal summer routes, which have included the return of flights to Malaga, Nice, Mykonos and Santorini, as well as the newly introduced flight to Mallorca.
flydubai

Per a travel advisory that remains in place from March 31, “flydubai is currently operating flights across its network with a reduced schedule. Flight durations and transit times in Dubai may be longer than usual due to the temporary rerouting of some flight paths.” But that hasn’t stopped the airline adding new destinations. From late May, the airline has added a string of seasonal routes to destinations including Corfu, Olbia, Tivat and Mykonos, as well as launching new routes to Benghazi, Libya and Bangkok, China.
Turkish Airlines
Turkish Airlines resumed flights to Dubai on June 9, and then added its Abu Dhabi route again on July 1. Flights between both cities and Istanbul are frequent: with four flights a week between Abu Dhabi and Istanbul, and a total of 14 Turkish Airlines flights between Istanbul and Dubai now operating.
British Airways

British Airways has extended its suspension of flights between the UK and the Middle East several times. Its London to Dubai route had been scheduled to resume on July 1, but last month, the suspension of flights between the two cities was extended until October 25. Services from London Heathrow to Abu Dhabi remain suspended indefinitely, with the airline not providing a timeline for the resumption of flights to the UAE capital.
KLM
Per Dutch airline KLM’s website, “KLM is currently not flying through the airspace of Iran, Iraq, and Israel, nor over several countries in the Gulf region.” According to the latest flight update, flights to and from Dubai remain suspended until August 23.
Virgin Atlantic

On May 6, Virgin Atlantic gave an update on its winter flight schedule, after suspending services between London and Dubai in March. In the statement, the airline wrote, “Unfortunately, we have taken the difficult decision to temporarily suspend our seasonal service to Dubai for the winter 2026 season.” No further indication on when in 2027 the route will restart was given.
Singapore Airlines
Flights between Dubai and Singapore are suspended with Singapore Airlines until next month. As per the advisory on the airline’s website, flights SQ494 from Singapore to Dubai and SQ495 from Dubai to Singapore will be cancelled until August 2.
Air France
Air France’s latest travel advisory for flights to the Middle East advises that flights through until July 6 remain suspended to Dubai. But the good news is, they’re coming back, a quick look online shows that direct flights are bookable three times per week from July 11 between DXB and Paris.
