Sheikh Mohammed vows to deliver the best Expo in event history
With a little over a year to go until Expo 2020, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, paid a visit to the site to inspect several infrastructure projects. The Ruler of Dubai expressed his satisfaction during his visit to several construction sites and the UAE pavilion and was quoted as saying, “We are ready and remain true to our promise of presenting the best Expo edition in its 168-year-old history.”
O Beach Ibiza to open in Dubai
It’s one of Ibiza’s best known venues, famed for its huge pool parties and legendary champagne spray shows and now it’s official, O Beach Ibiza is coming to Dubai next year, with doors looking set to be open in September 2020. The now legendary Ibiza beach club (formerly known as Ocean Beach Ibiza) has been tipped to open in Dubai for some time, but in a recent video interview with Inside Lifestyle posted to their IGTV, the beach club’s co-owner, Wayne Lineker confirmed the news. In the interview with Inside Lifestyle, Lineker admitted that the new beach club, which will be only the second O Beach in the world, “will open in Dubai in 2020, probably after next summer. September 2020 it’s looking like.”
Rainforest-inspired restaurant Amazonico to open in DIFC
Hailing from Madrid, rainforest-inspired Amazonico is set to open its doors at the end of October in DIFC’s Gate Village 11. Promising colourful and vibrant cuisine inspired by a rich culinary heritage, the restaurant describes that it is ‘born from the encounter of the Brazilian and Spanish culture’. On the menu, guests can expect signature dishes such as flame-grilled fish and Brazilian rodizio, as well as more international flavours such as tandoori and sushi.
Tickets go on sale for Rita Ora and Disclosure in Dubai
W Dubai – The Palm is bringing its first ever WAKE UP CALL festival to Dubai this October, and tickets for the two-day event are now on sale from as little as Dhs100. Tickets can now be purchased from Platinumlist for the festival, which will see performances from pop songstress Rita Ora, dance music duo Disclosure and Australian house music group, RÜFÜS DU SOL.
