The cool new spot promises ‘food, drinks and continual tomfoolery’…

Madinat Jumeirah has to be one of the most picturesque places in Dubai for some casual dinner or afterwork drinks, with its pretty canal-style waters and traditional souk design.

And now Dubai residents have a brand new reason to visit, with the opening of speakeasy-inspired bar and restaurant, Americano.

Promising ‘food, drinks and continual tomfoolery’, the new spot will open on Wednesday October 9 and serve up hearty American-style dishes and specially crafted cocktails.

Opening seven days a week from 12pm to 3am, ‘normal’ dinner times won’t matter,as you’ll be able to order what you fancy at anytime of the day, meaning a breakfast dish with your after-work cocktails isn’t out of the question.

The vibe is old-school American diner but with a modern edge, combining industrial metals, luxe leather seating, period wallpaper and old-school ornaments. Choose from high stools at the bar as you watch the mixologists create your cocktails, enjoy a casual lunch at one of the central tables or squeeze your pals into one of the booths for a catch up reminiscent of Sandy, Danny and pals in iconic movie, Grease.

They will soon be introducing a daily four-hour happy hour, a ladies’ night deal and live jazz nights, followed by the opening of their outdoor terrace in November.

Americano is the newest addition to international F&B company FFI’s (Food Fund International) repertoire, who already have well known brands like The Meat Co. and Taverna under their belt in the Middle East.
