New Year’s Eve wouldn’t be the same without an epic array of firework displays across the city. Whether you’re planning on going out or staying in, there’s so many midnight shows planned, no matter which direction you look in, you’re bound to see the sky light up with colour and sparkle as you welcome in 2020.

Here’s all the places you can see fireworks in Abu Dhabi on New Year’s Eve 2019.

Abu Dhabi Corniche

Catch the firework show at the stroke of midnight on New Years at the Abu Dhabi Corniche. Not only does it offer up unobstructed views of the dazzling display, but the reflections in the water are pretty wow-worthy too. Don’t forget to carry a jacket to keep warm as it could get chilly by the water at night.

Yas Marina

Yas Marina will also host a spectacular fireworks show at midnight on Tuesday December 31, 2019. You can nab a great spot to catch the show at one of the best restaurants and dining outlets at Yas Marina such as Cipriani or Mr. Miyagi’s. It’s also the night of Bruno Mar’s NYE concert at du arena, so plan ahead to get there on time.

Emirates Palace

The Emirates Palace hotel sits on a 1.3-kilometer private beachfront and come midnight on New Years Eve, it will host a breathtaking firework display.

Al Maryah Island

Al Maryah Island in Abu Dhabi will be counting down to midnight with a star-studded music filled night with live performances by Tamer Hosny and Lebanese regional superstar, Nancy Ajram. As the clock ticks down to 2020, there will be a spectacular 10-minute fireworks show. While the main concert area will be exclusive for ticket holders, other guests will have access to the other areas of the Promenade to view the fireworks and concert from the screens available on the waterfront.

Khor Al Maqta/Abu Dhabi Grand Canal

Spending your New Years Eve at one of the hotels by Khor Al Maqta?  Come midnight, you will have brilliant views of fireworks display to help you welcome in 2020.

Saadiyat Beach Club

Round up your family and friends and head on to Saadiyat Beach Club – the only place in Saadiyat celebrating with a fireworks extravaganza on New Years Eve. Apart from great food, the thrilling atmosphere will also see you dancing along to the tunes of the city’s best acts; Saif and Sound, DJ Kaboo, DJ Eldar, Tim Cosmos and live performance by sax artist Katrina and vocalist Galina from 10pm to 3am.
