What’s On announces TripAdvisor’s 2015 Travelers’ Choice awards for destinations. Dubai comes in at number 24. Plus, all 25 destinations.

TripAdvisor has just released their Traveller Choice list of top 25 destinations for 2015, and Dubai has just about made the cut.

The online review platform honoured over 450 top travel destinations worldwide based on millions of reviews and opinions from travellers. The winners were chosen using an algorithm that considered the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants, and attractions over a 12-month period.

The coveted top spot was awarded to the ‘Red City’ of Marrakesh in Morocco with its impressive variety of markets, palaces and stunning mosques.

Cambodia’s second biggest city, Siem Reap, home to the famous temple of Angkor Wat, slid into number two and Istanbul, with its mesmerising Blue Mosque and stunning architecture made it into 3rd place.

Dubai was the only UAE destination to make the top 25, coming in at the 24th spot: “Dubai is a cosmopolitan oasis, a futuristic cityscape that towers over the Arabian Desert. This Travelers’ Choice Destination is a city of superlatives, home to the world’s largest dancing fountain; tallest building (Burj Khalifa); only 7-star hotel (the Burj al-Arab); largest artificial islands (the Palm Islands); and largest natural flower garden (the Miracle Garden). Rent a dune buggy for a desert adventure, bargain at the open-air market, or cheer on your favorite humped hoofer at the Camel Race Track.”
