Sponsored: It’s one of our favourite weekends of the year…

Whether you’re a seasoned Dubai resident or new to the city, the Emirates Dubai 7s is one of those unmissable weekend extravaganzas – and it’s back this November.

The three-day festival will take place from Friday November 29 until Sunday December 1, with tickets available from Dhs425. You can snap them up now via emiratesdubai7s.com.

Each year, some 80,000 spectators descend on the beloved Sevens Stadium for family-friendly fun, fabulous hospitality, epic musical headliners, and of course the world-class array of sport – and this year is set to be no different. Best of all, it takes place over the National Day weekend, so with no work on Monday, we can expect a triple dose of high-energy festival fun on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Fabulous fancy dress

Each year, one of the best bits of the 7s is the fancy dress – and this year is set to be no exception. The 2024 theme is ‘colourful festival’ so don your best Coachella, Glasto, or Tomorrowland fits and get ready for an epic weekend.

Sports galore

Of course, the main event is the first leg of the HSBC SVNS 2024-2025 series, which draws the world’s finest rugby 7s athletes to Dubai. But there’s much more to look forward to, with participation from 128 countries across five sports this year – including rugby 7s, netball, cricket, fitness and padel tennis.

Music

The Saturday headline slot at Emirates Dubai 7s has previously seen performances from Kylie Minogue, Craig David, Becky Hill and Artful Dodger. This year, we can expect international headliners on both Saturday and Sunday, with the line-up set to be announced very soon. Throughout the whole weekend, there will be live performances across all three iconic stages: Rugby Rocks, , Beats on 2, and Frequency on 8.

Renewed hospitality will be available this year as the Sunroom experience. This means two days of VIP treatment, free-flowing food and drinks and the best views of all the sporting action start from Dhs1,925.
