In celebration of UAE Union Day – formerly National Day – there will be fireworks across Dubai…

If you’re wondering where to see fireworks in Dubai this December, then take note – as there will be several fireworks displays in Dubai for UAE Union Day.

The final UAE public holiday of the year is coming up in less than a month, and it’s already confirmed that it will be a four-day weekend on the occasion of UAE Union Day, formerly UAE National Day.

There will be a two-day holiday to mark the occasion on Monday December 2 and Tuesday December 3, making it a four-day weekend for those that have Saturday and Sunday off. And to celebrate UAE Union Day, which this year marks 53 years since the emirates were united, Dubai will host an array of festivals, special events and experiences – including fireworks.

If you want to see the Union Day fireworks in Dubai, you’ll be able to catch them on both Monday December 2 and Tuesday December 3, taking place in four locations: JBR Beach, Al Seef, Hatta and Dubai Festival City Mall. The timings have not yet been confirmed. The fireworks at Dubai Festival City Mall will be coupled with the daily IMAGINE light and laser show, a colourful display that illuminates the waters at Festival City each evening.

You’ll also be able to see fireworks in Dubai at Global Village at 9pm on Friday November 29 and Saturday December 1. Each week, Global Village illuminates the skies with a fireworks display on Friday and Saturday, and the National Day weekend will be no different.

The fireworks in Dubai are just one of a number of celebrations we can look forward to, as part of month-long festivities under the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, announced by Brand Dubai. Taking place between UAE Flag Day (November 3) and Union Day (December 2) the calendar will feature flag gardens, fireworks, festivals, concerts and parades.
