Don't miss this pawsome pet-festival in Dubai this weekend
This sounds paw-tastic…
There are plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors over the winter with your pet, but one festival you don’t want to miss is Woofstock. And it takes place this weekend on Saturday, November 23 and 24, 2024.
The fun pet-focused festival returns for a third year and welcomes dog lovers, pup parents, and families for a jam-packed weekend of dog-friendly activities, live music, workshops, and family entertainment. It takes place at Dubai Island Beach – Dubai’s dreamy dog-friendly public beach.

The event is by Yvonne and her adorable pup, Boefje from Doggie Adventures UAE so, you know a lot of research has gone into it and your pet is safe and guaranteed to have a tail-wagging good time.
Here’s what to expect at Woofstock this year
At the venue, you can expect to unleash your pups to play in the off-leash play areas. They will be able to play with other pups, chase their own tails or just have a ball while exploring.
For dogs who are a fan of the water, there’s water sports activities by Seawake. You can get on a SUP with your pup or enjoy some time on the water in a kayak.
For the more creative (read, messy) ones, there’s an arts and crafts workshops hosted by Wild Paint House from 8am to 3pm where you can make your own paw print artwork. From 4pm to 10pm, FoscArts will be at the event where you can make your own dog bowl or candle, or… paint your dog (using animal-friendly paint, of course).
If you want to learn how to better take care of, or handle your pup, there are variety of interactive and educational workshops.
There will be demonstrations by Sahara Kennel and Four Winds, with potential participation from Dubai Police K9, so if your pup is watching, they may actually learn a thing or two (hopefully). At the very least, you can see the amazing work the dogs at the K9 unit do.
If you’re looking to adopt a pup and give one a (or two) a fur-ever home, rescue organization will also be at the venue where you can learn about adoption, fostering and maybe even meet the fur babies.
And of course, you can expect live entertainment on both days with performances from local artists from 4pm. To keep the hangy pangs away, visit the food and beverage stalls, and don’t leave without shopping at the market stalls.

Do note, the venue reserves the right to prevent entry for pups who are deemed unsafe (and the same goes for the humans, too). Also, there’s no ticket price as such, but you will need to pay Dhs50 to get your pup assessed at the door. Find out more here.
