Find your purr-fect match on World Animal Day

Looking for a little extra love in your life? This Saturday, October 4, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island is turning its ballroom into a furry paradise with Paws for a Cause, a heart-warming cat adoption day.

The hotel has joined forces with microchipped.ae, Ma’an, and volunteers.ae for this special initiative where it will host 60 adorable cats all ready to find their forever homes.

The event will run from 2pm to 6pm and all families, animal lovers and members of the community are invited to find their purr-fect match, and potentially a new member to add to the family. The event is free to attend.

On the day, you will learn about the adoption process in a relaxed setting, enjoy light refreshments and of course, meet the cats. Experienced volunteers will be available to answer questions and share insights into responsible pet ownership.

All cats will be fully health-checked and vaccinated before the adoption by microchipped.ae so they will be in the best of health before becoming a member of your family. A medical team from Pet Pavilion Veterinary Clinic will also be present to ensure the animals’ well-being and to address general questions about your future pets’ health.

In the spirit of the UAE’s Year of Community, the initiative goes far beyond simply finding homes for cats. It’s designed to spark a sense of shared responsibility and compassion, uniting government bodies, private organisations, and the public. With this event, Rixos Premium Saadiyat Island shines a light on the kindness and community values at the heart of World Animal Day.
