When will Global Village reopen? Here's when Season 31 could begin
Dubai’s favourite family-friendly attraction Global Village may have closed for the summer, but we are already looking ahead to its return
Packed with cultural pavilions, street food from around the world, thrilling rides and live entertainment, Global Village remains one of Dubai’s most popular seasonal attractions, drawing millions of visitors each year.
The destination wrapped up its milestone 30th season on Sunday May 31 and is now officially closed for the summer months.
So, when will Global Village reopen?
While Global Village has not yet confirmed an official reopening date for Season 31, we can make a pretty educated guess based on previous years.
The attraction traditionally reopens in mid-October, with opening ceremonies often taking place on a Wednesday close to the middle of the month.
Last year, Season 30 welcomed guests back on Wednesday October 15, 2025. If Global Village follows a similar pattern this year, Season 31 could potentially begin on Wednesday October 14, 2026.
Of course, this remains speculation until an official announcement is made, but history suggests mid-October is the most likely timeframe.
What can visitors expect?
While details for Season 31 have not yet been revealed, visitors can expect the return of many of the attractions that have made Global Village a Dubai favourite.
The destination is known for bringing together cultures from around the world through its country pavilions, where guests can shop for unique products, sample international cuisine and enjoy cultural performances.
The Carnaval area typically returns with dozens of rides and games, while the entertainment programme usually includes concerts, stunt shows, street performances and family-friendly attractions throughout the season.
Food remains one of the biggest draws, with hundreds of dining options ranging from viral social media favourites to traditional dishes from across the globe.
A record-breaking season
Season 30 was a landmark year for Global Village as it celebrated three decades of operation in Dubai.
Over the years, the attraction has grown from a small cultural event into one of the region’s largest outdoor entertainment destinations, welcoming millions of visitors every season and becoming a staple of Dubai’s winter calendar.
For now, fans will need to wait for an official announcement, but if previous years are anything to go by, the gates could reopen as soon as Wednesday October 14, 2026.
