From June 25, Filipinos with US, EU and other visas can access a visa on arrival to visit the UAE

Starting from today, Thursday June 25, certain Filipino travellers will be able to get a visa on arrival when visiting the UAE.

In a move that’s set to boost tourism and see more Filipino travellers head to the emirates, holders of Philippine passports who have a valid visa, residence permit or Green Card issued by the US, EU, Australia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Canada and New Zealand will now be granted visa on arrival.

The announcement was made by the Philippines Department of Foreign Affairs. Per The National, a statement from the ministry said, “The visa-on-arrival privilege extended to Filipino citizens by the UAE is in view of the excellent bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE.”

What are the visa-on-arrival options?

Upon arrival at any UAE airport, the visa-on-arrival issued will be valid for 14 days and costs Dhs100. It can be extended for a further 14 days for Dhs250.

Alternatively, a 60-day visa-on-arrival can be purchased for Dhs250, which is not extendable.
