Port de La Mer will be the first residential community at the Jumeirah 1 beachfront district.

La Mer is one of our favourite new areas of Dubai – we love the beach, the street art, and all the cool restaurants. And the good news is, we’ll soon have the option to actually live there, as a new residential area is under construction.

Port de La Mer will be located at the tip of the north peninsula at La Mer, and will be inspired by the Mediterranean, both in terms of aesthetic and lifestyle.

According to developer Meraas, the freehold community will feature one to four-bedroom apartments with pastel-hued exteriors and sea views, as well as a 192-berth superyacht marina. Because every good neighbourhood needs one of those.

The waterfront will be home to several boutiques and restaurants, and a selection of four and five-star hotels. There will also be a private beach for residents.

Work is already underway on the first properties at Port de La Mer, which will be located in an area called La Côte. The area will be made up of 400 apartments and a two-storey penthouse in a collection of five low-rise buildings. This is set for completion by the end of 2020.

Time to start saving for one of those dreamy-sounding apartments… or maybe even the penthouse…
