The much-anticipated second serving of the modern brasserie is now open in Studio One Hotel…

The Maine is one of Dubai’s best-loved restaurants for brilliant brasserie food, lively ladies’ nights and delicious business lunches, and now a second serving has opened its doors in Dubai Studio City under the name The Maine Street Eatery.

The second location of the award-winning restaurant can be found in Studio One Hotel, and we’ve headed in to have a first look around.

Designed by Gastropreneur, Founder & Managing Partner of The Maine, Joey Ghazal, The Maine Street Eatery is described as ‘a neighborhood eatery tailored to the residents of the local community’.

And it certainly feels that way. The restaurant boasts modern, cosy interiors with seating for around 60 inside and a further 75 outside on the picturesque poolside terrace. The licensed restaurant is also home to a kids play area, perfect for the little ones to enjoy an afternoon while the adults feast.

While we’re pleased that all of the best-loved dishes from the JBR outpost have made their way to Studio City, there are also some cool new dishes on the brasserie menu. New additions include healthy vegetarian and vegan options, as well as new pizzas, salads, sandwiches and carvery boards.

Promotions on offer include oysters for Dhs10 daily from 6pm to 8pm, two for one on selected beverages from 5pm to 8pm, and a Friday brunch from Dhs300 will launch on June 14.

Currently open from midday until 12am, the restaurant is set to launch a breakfast menu from June 14, which will be available 9am to 4pm every day. On the breakfast menu, guests can expect healthy dishes such as Acai bowls, vegan pancakes, and a healthy farmers breakfast.

You’ll also be able to enjoy The Maine’s signature dishes delivered straight to you when it launches on Deliveroo next month too.

Studio One Hotel is set to become quite the foodie destination. As well as the already open Italian restaurant L’ARTE, it’s set to soon welcome a branch of The Irish Village and Mr Miyagi’s, as well as new concepts El Chapo’s Tacos Mexican and The Meating Room – an Indian restaurant.

There are big expansion plans in the pipeline for The Maine, too. As well as launching The Maine World Famous Taco Truck for delivery in Autumn 2019, a third The Maine will open by the end of the year; The Maine Land Brasserie. The new restaurant will be found on the ground floor of the ME by Melia Hotel, which will open its doors in The Opus, designed by the late legendary architect Dame Zaha Hadid.

“The Maine has been really successful over the last 3 and a half years, and it’s become such a strong brand,” explains Joey Ghazal of the new openings. “But each brasserie has it’s own unique personality, and that’s very exciting”, commented Joey Ghazal on the opening.
