The fitness star will be attempting a Guinness World Record for the world’s largest group HIIT workout…

If you’ve heard of Lean in 15, the quick and simple guide to leading a healthier lifestyle, then you’ll probably know its creator – Joe Wicks, also known as The Body Coach. He visited Dubai last year to hold a mass HIIT workout and this October, he’ll be returning to the city.

This time, he’s attempting a Guinness World Record for the biggest HIIT (high intensity training class) workout ever, and it will take place during the Dubai’s Fitness Challenge.

On Saturday October 26, the health and fitness influencer is aiming to smash his existing Guinness World Record, previously gained at London’s Hyde Park in 2017 with 3,084 participants. This time he wants an additional 3,000 people.

The British Instagram star and author earned himself fans all over the world for his simple approach to healthy eating and short HIIT workouts that you can easily incorporate into your daily life.

Information on the location of the Guinness World Record HIIT Challenge attempt and how to sign up will be revealed soon.

Using his tagline ‘Lean in 15’ as the focus of his Instagram videos, Joe Wicks posts a range of healthy 15-minute meals that viewers can make at home, as well as sharing 15 to 20 minute HIIT workouts on his YouTube channel.

He currently has 2.8 million Instagram followers, seven books under his belt, as well as TV presenting gigs and traveling the world promoting health and fitness.

The Dubai Fitness Challenge has become somewhat of an institution and this year will be its third round, taking place from Friday October 18 to Friday November 15 throughout Dubai. Running across two fitness villages and 10 community hubs, there will be 40 events and over 5,000 fitness classes and activities during the month-long event.

Other big activities to look out for include Tough Mudder at Dubai Festival City on Friday November 15, the King & Queen swim session at The Pointe on Friday October 25 and the Mai Dubai City Half Marathon, starting from the Gate Building in DIFC, also on Friday October 25.
