1. Brix

WHAT: The mastermind behind award-winning Asian restaurant, 3Fils, is due to open another in Dubai this year. Called Brix, the sister restaurant will only serve desserts and drinks including premium tea and coffee, and chocolate bon bons and ganache for dine-in and takeaway. Guests can expect to find around 15 dessert items from 3Fils past and present at the restaurant, which is expected to open next door to the original.

2. Mood Rooftop

WHAT: Part rooftop bar, part exotic garden lounge, Mood Rooftop Lounge will open on the rooftop of the Meydan Hotel this November. Promising 180 degree views of the city, an international menu and extensive shisha offering, it will add to an already impressive list of bars and clubs at Meydan which include Soho Garden, Tokyo Vibes and Drai’s DXB.

3. Shanghai Me

WHAT: A new upscale Asian restaurant set to debut in DIFC, Shanghai Me will open its doors in Gate Village 11 this November. The homegrown concept takes inspiration from the glamour of 1930s Shanghai , with rich detailing to the interiors and aromatic cuisine on the menu. We’ve got high expectations for the fine dining restaurant, which comes from Bulldozer Group – the people behind Cipriani and Gaia.

4. Verde by Yeeels

WHAT: Lead by chef Jerome Lagarde, who previously helmed the kitchen at Atmosphere Burj Khalifa, Verde by Yeeels promises to bring French cuisine, influenced by chef Lagarde’s wealth of experience from Sydney, Hong Kong and Miami to Dubai this Winter. At its original outpost in Paris, Verde by Yeeels serves small sharing plates of high-end, internationally influenced French cuisine in a lively party atmosphere. So, we can expect something similar once the first international venue opens in Dubai.

5. Amazonico

WHAT: Hailing from Madrid, rainforest-inspired Amazonico is set to open its doors at the end of November in DIFC’s Gate Village 11. The team behind the restaurant say that Amazonico will be split into three distinct spaces: a ground floor sushi counter and lounge, first floor restaurant, and an open-air, Copacabana inspired rooftop with private dining area.

6. WHITE Beach

WHAT: Two of the city’s biggest hospitality powerhouses, Atlantis The Palm and Addmind, the hospitality company behind the likes of White and Drai’s, will come together to launch a new beach club this November. WHITE Beach at Atlantis The Palm promises multiple different areas including a live event space, restaurant with open-air terrace and a shoreside infinity pool perfect for getting those wow-worthy Instagram shots. As well as poolside lounging by day, WHITE Beach will open for an exciting prgramme of sunset sessions, as well as local and international artist performances.

7. CHINGÓN

WHAT: Brand new modern Mexican restaurant CHINGÓN is set to open its doors later this year. Described as a celebration of all things authentically Mexican, the new Mexican restaurant will occupy the rooftop of the Grand Millennium in Business Bay

8. Studio

WHAT: Studio is scheduled to open this year in the same spot that Pacha once occupied in Madinat Jumeirah. Split between a club, lounge and rooftop, guests can expect an array of nostalgic themed nights when it opens later this month.

9. Nammos

WHAT: A slice of the Greek party island of Mykonos is coming to Dubai, as Nammos beach club has announced it is opening in the Emirate. As well as serving up chilled out beach vibes by day, Nammos is known as a lively party spot for top Mediterranean dishes, and also hosts one-off beach parties by night. We hope it brings them all to the Four Seasons Jumeirah when it opens in December.

10. CÉ LA VI

WHAT: Perched atop the soon-to-open Address Sky View, CÉ LA VI is a stunning, multi-tiered venue that promises unparalleled views across the city by day and by night. Set to become a space for every occasion, it’s home to a pool, restaurant, sky bar and Ultra Lounge, and will serve a playful interpretation of contemporary Asian cuisine.

11. Indochine

WHAT: Longstanding New York hotspot Indochine is set to open it’s first franchise in Dubai this year. The French-Vietnamese restaurant and bar has been known for hosting the A listers of America since its opening in 1984, so we can’t wait to see who frequents their Dubai outpost. Whilst the official opening date is yet to be confirmed, we’re expecting it to be in the next couple of months.

12. Brazilbanese

WHAT: Promising a fusion of Lebanese and Brazilian flavours, Brazilbanese will open in Address Sky View in December. Boasting both indoor and outdoor seating, the restaurant promises lush, colourful interiors and a menu of exotic Lebanese and Brazilian dishes, served up alongside live entertainment.

13. Phileas Foggs

WHAT: Spanning an impressive 32,000 square feet, Phileas Foggs will occupy a big space at the Address Montgomerie. Set to become the go-to neighbourhood hangout, it’s split into five bespoke spaces; The Orangery (restaurant), sports pub, garden, amphitheatre and kids area. Designed as both a family-friendly space by day and idyllic date-night spot by night, guests can look forward to an array of seasonal community events throughout the year.
