About the movies
Starring Chiwetel Ejiofor, Michael K. Williams and Michael Fassbender, and directed by Steve McQueen, 12 Years A Slave (released January 30) is the incredible true story of one man’s fight for survival and freedom. In the pre-Civil War United States, Solomon Northup (Ejiofor), a free black man from upstate New York, is abducted and sold into slavery. Facing cruelty (personified by a malevolent slave owner, portrayed by Fassbender), as well as unexpected kindnesses, Solomon struggles not only to stay alive, but to retain his dignity.

Director Stuart Beattie (Pirates of the Caribbean) returns with this spectacular 4D take on the classic tale of a man made beast. I, Frankenstein (released on January 23), stars Aaron Eckhart and Bill Nighy and has the lead character caught in an all-out, centuries old war between two immortal clans.
