Pierce Brosnan has arrived in the UAE ahead of filming

He’s already been spotted at the Louvre Abu Dhabi…

Last week we learned that Pierce Brosnan would begin filming in the UAE this month, and the award-winning actor has already been spotted in the capital.

Taking to Instagram, Brosnan shared videos of his ‘room with a view’ with his 970,000 followers.

It is thought that Brosnan and the rest of ‘The Misfits’ cast are staying at Jumeirah at Etihad Towers, which has already been confirmed as one of the shoot locations.

Brosnan also made time for a brief shopping trip, making his way to Tom Ford in the hotel, where he happily posed for pictures with staff.

The former James Bond star has also been spotted soaking up the sights – but sadly not filming – at Louvre Abu Dhabi.

In a clip he shared, Brosnan described the Louvre Abu Dhabi as “a masterpiece of design”.

Heist thriller ‘The Misfits’ starring Pierce Brosnan will be directed by action veteran Renny Harlin, who has previously directed films such as Die Hard 2 and Skip Trace.

Set mostly in the Middle East, The Misfits follows the story of renowned criminal Richard Pace, who finds himself caught up in an elaborate gold heist that promises to have far-reaching implications.

Jamie Chung and British actress Hermione Corfield will also appear in the film.

Abu Dhabi was recently the chosen location for Six Underground, Netflix’s biggest budget movie to date which saw a cast which included Ryan Reynolds spend four weeks in the capital.

More than 300 cast and crew spent 30 days in the UAE, shooting in Abu Dhabi, Liwa desert, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
