Our top pick of the movies out in cinemas this week is Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, a new adventure set in a galaxy far, far away

Here are all the new flicks you’ll be able to go see from today…

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

This has to be the most highly anticipated movie of the year. While it functions as a stand alone story in George Lucas’s Star Wars universe, it’s set somewhere between the events of Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and Episode IV: A New Hope. It tells the story of a band of rebels who risk everything to take on the empire and steal the plans for the Death Star. It’s an ambitious work with some amazing action sequences, and even the notoriously hard-to-please Star Wars fandom will find something to love.

Collateral Beauty

Collateral Beauty sees Will Smith showing off his acting chops as Howard, a high-flying CEO who’s grieving after the death of his daughter. To cope, he writes letters to the concepts of Time, Love and Death – all of whom come to life. It’s a star-studded cast that includes Helen Mirren, Keira Knightley, Naomie Harris and Edward Norton. A real tear-jerker that will leave you with all the feels.

Miss Sloane

You know a movie is something special when it opens the Dubai International Film Festival. Miss Sloane stars Zero Dark Thirty’s Jessica Chastain as Washington lobbyist Elizabeth Stone. When Miss Sloane joins a film to fight for a bill that imposes regulations on firearms, she makes some powerful – and violent – enemies. A tense, taut and timely thriller with an excellent performance from Miss Chastain.
