There's going to be a Christmas market in Dubai this week
Nope, you didn’t read your calendar wrong…
Celebrating Christmas in the middle of summer might seem like a rather foreign concept – unless, of course, you’re from Australia or New Zealand.
Forget about the snowy scenes and eggnog. Chrissies Down Under are all about surfing Santas and backyard barbecues.
So it does kind of make sense that Aussie cafe Tom & Serg would hold a Christmas in July night market, during the sweltering height of Dubai’s summer.
The boutique market will take place in the Al Quoz cafe on Wednesday July 26 and Thursday July 27, from 6pm til late.
The industrial space will transform into a Christmas wonderland, with more than 30 local vendors offering a mix of fashion, culture, art, and food. You can also look forward to acoustic versions of your favourite Christmas tunes.
Mexican eatery Muchachas will be serving up tasty street eats like ceviche cups with black tortillas, tacos, and coloured ice cream cones (hey, what did you expect, plum pudding?).
Entry is free, so why not head along and get into the festive spirit a few months early?
