Sponsored: After a brunch that won’t break the bank? We know just the place…

Brunch in Dubai takes many forms, but sometimes we get tired of paying for all the unnecessary bells and whistles. At the end of the day, you just want a good time with your mates, with plenty of food, drinks – and a side of entertainment doesn’t hurt, either.

Which is where The Huddle Sports Bar & Grill comes in. This unpretentious spot in the Citymax Bur Dubai has just undergone a massive refurb’, with a brand new menu to boot – and we must say, it’s looking pretty cozy.

To celebrate the new look, the bar is hosting a two-day music festival this weekend called Huddle Rock Fest, kicking off on Thursday night from 8.30pm and Friday from noon – which just so happens to coincide with Huddle’s ‘Tapas Fridays’ brunch.

It promises to be an awesome gig, with live tunes from a great line-up of bands. Best of all, it’s about a third of what you would pay for brunch in one of the city’s five-star hotels.

Dhs99 will get you unlimited tapas-style dishes and five house drinks, or for Dhs129, you enjoy unlimited house drinks. If you’re feeling a little bit fancy, you can pay Dhs179 for the premium beverages package.

There will also be food stalls where you can get your fill of wings, sliders, jalapeno poppers and cheesy fries.

So, who’s playing? On Thursday night, Bombay-based rocker Uday Benegal is headlining. He’s the frontman of Indus Creed, one of India’s longest-running rock bands.

Or if you’re more of a Freddie Mercury fan, you’ll want to head along on Friday, when Queen tribute band The Queenies are flying in from the UK to take to the stage. Who doesn’t enjoy belting out a bit of Bohemian Rhapsody over brunch?

The two acts will be joined throughout the weekend by local bands including The Nakama Theory, Roots, and Night Shift.

Ready to rock? We’ll see you there…
