It comes with a commercial music policy, and usually packs out after midnight with the party-hard people keeping things lively until 3am.

Quickly becoming one of the busiest bars in town, the super-sized Lock Stock and Barrel JBR is a great place to party most nights of the week. Its Tuesday ladies’ night however, has to be one of our favourites. Ladies get three free drinks from 6pm to 1am, plus there’s buy-one-get-one-free drinks for the early doors crowd from 4pm to 8pm.

They’re bringing international acts to Dubai most weekends, and Eric Morillo, Defected and Disciples are already confirmed for upcoming Thursdays.

Friday: Mr Miyagi’s

There’s never really a bad time to go to this quirky new Asian street food restaurant and bar, but the after-brunch bar is one of the busiest and best times to go to Mr Miyagi’s. There’s a happy hour from 4pm to 8pm which includes some of their pun-fuelled cocktails (the ‘no money no honey’ is one of our favourites), plus a cheesy soundtrack that’s sure to have you singing along. The post-brunch crowd might drift away by 10pm, but a fresh crowd of club-goers heads in to keep the party atmosphere up until late.
