The free-entry pool has opened ahead of the Sunset Festival this weekend.

Although the pool at the ever-popular Barasti Beach was covered over a few years ago, clearly too many residents were missing it.

The Dubai stalwart announced last month that it was bringing a pool back, and now the first pictures of it have arrived – and it looks pretty impressive.

Open daily, the stunning new pool is located on the beach, boasting views of the glistening Dubai Marina skyline one way, and out towards the Arabian Gulf the other way.

There’s extensive decking and a lounge also within the 1200 metre-square area and the sun loungers there will be first-come-first-serve.

Best of all, it’s going to remain free entry for all.

It’s opened just in time for their annual Sunset Festival, which kicks off today for a weekend-long party.

Headlining the Sunset Festival will be Dutch DJ Bakermat this evening, with Grammy-nominated DJ and producer Duke Dumont taking to the stage on Friday. There will also be support from local DJs and artists.

Barasti Beach, Sat to Weds, 11am to 1.30am, Thurs and Fri 11am to 3am, free entry. Tel: (04) 399 3333. More info on Facebook
