Sorry, Will Smith and Bella Hadid. We officially have a new favourite Skydive Dubai video, and it comes courtesy of one thrill-seeking police officer.

The clip, shared to the Dubai Police Instagram account, shows the daredevil cop jumping out of the plane, cool as a cucumber.

As he freefalls over the Palm Jumeirah, he manages to execute the perfect salute, keeping himself perfectly still. It takes serious skill to have that level of control…

Pretty cool, huh? In case you were wondering about the significance of the jump, well, it’s all part of the Dubai Fitness Challenge – HH Sheikh Hamdan’s initiative to get Dubai residents to commit to 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days.

“Our passion for fitness touched the skies as we rise up to #dubaifitnesschallenge,” Dubai Police wrote in the video caption. And we imagine it caught the Crown Prince of Dubai’s attention – Sheikh Hamdan is an experienced skydiver himself, and an avid fan of the sport.

It’s not the first time Dubai Police has taken to the skies, either. A few years ago, it worked with Skydive Dubai to (quite literally) launch a drug awareness campaign – with skydivers carrying giant banners that said “NO DRUGS”.
