Two brand new hotels open in Dubai

Dubai has no shortage of hotels if you’re looking to head on a stay-cay or host visitors. From some of the most affordable, to the world’s tallest, there’s options for all tastes and budgets.
And if you’re wanting to check in sometime soon, why not check out one of these two hotels, which have both just opened in the city.
Radisson Blu Dubai Waterfont
Before it opened Radisson Blu Dubai Waterfront had our attention. Home to the hotly anticipated Gotha club, as well as Lebanon export Republic, a day to night destination that advertised it would be open 24 hours, we couldn’t wait to get inside this new Business Bay spot.
It’s got some great Burj Khalifa views from the Downtown facing bedrooms, and it looks right out onto Dubai Canal from the third floor terrace of signature restaurant Fire Lake Grill. It’s got an expansive terrace with cushy sofa seating perfect for a pre or post dinner drink. We’ve already been a couple of times, and although service has been a bit mishap on both occasions, we’re putting this down to teething problems.
The hotel has 432 rooms and suites, which are pretty spacious and furnished in a contemporary way. Many of the rooms also come with private balconies, something that’s increasingly rare with hotel openings in Dubai. And we reckon breakfast on the balcony overlooking the Dubai Canal could be just what Saturdays were made for.
Aloft Me’aisam
For a more budget-friendly option, check out the brand new industrial style Aloft Me’aisam in Dubai Production City. It’s all about design and architecture at this hotel, in between Dubai Sports City and City Centre Me’aisam.
There’s 223 loft-inspired guest rooms on offer, all with 9-foot-high ceilings, walk-in shower and a 49-inch LED TVs with Chromecast. All rooms also come complete with ‘SPG Keyless’, meaning you’ll be able to use your mobile phone as a key. Because, what’s more Dubai than that?
Inside, you’ll find Aloft’s signature W XYZ Bar and a Re:mixSM Lounge, which also extends to the Backyard terrace. Expect to check out live music as well as great drinks deals at both.
