The famous chef will be bringing his popular tapas restaurant Jaleo to Dubai next year…

Dubai is set to get another serving of celebrity chef excellence, as José Andrés is set to open his famed concept Jaleo in The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences on The Palm.

Opening in 2019, the sharing menu will feature an array of inventive and traditional Spanish dishes, serving an assortment of signature tapas, savory paellas, as well as having a strong focus on Spanish cheeses.

Although no images of the restaurant have been released, we’re expecting an authentic and inventive menu from the celebrated chef, served up in a casual atmosphere similar to that of his other Jaleo restaurants.

Promising guests an experience ‘like they never have [had] before’, it’s set to be the UAE debut for Andrés, who has several restaurants across America.

A pioneer of Spanish tapas in the US, Andrés is known for his avant-garde cuisine which has won him a host of accolades across his 31 restaurants. He’s also been named as one of Time’s “100 Most Influential People” in both 2012 and 2018 and “Outstanding Chef” by the James Beard Foundation.

“As one of the most influential chefs in the world, we have no doubt that the arrival of his authentic and celebrated Spanish concept will be another great addition to the culinary offering at our property,” said Serge Zaalof, COO for Atlantis Resorts & Residences.

The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences will be made up of 231 luxury apartments, and 795 hotel rooms and suites. It will be located on the crescent of The Palm next to the existing Atlantis resort.

But Andres is not the only big name making his way to the resort. The restaurant will open alongside a concept by the renowed Heston Blumental in the hotel. The restaurant, Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, will be the third outpost of the culinary concept, which already has locations in London and Melbourne.

We can’t wait to see which other acclaimed names join them.
