Children aged five and under, and adults aged 65 and above will be able to enter for free…

The ticket prices for Dubai’s Expo 2020, taking place at the end of next year, have been revealed. Tickets will be available in a one day, three day, monthly, or season pass.

An adult (18 and over) single day ticket will be charged at Dhs120, while a three-day pass will cost Dhs260 and can be used on any three days of the six month expo. There will be a 50 per cent discount applied to tickets for children aged six to 17 and carers of people with determination, who can enter for free.

Sanjive Khosla, deputy chief for sales and marketing at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “With less than 550 days to go before the biggest event ever to be held in the Arab region, excitement is building up fast. We aim to be a World Expo that is accessible to all and we believe the ticket prices and concessions will help us achieve that ambition.”

The monthly and seasonal pass prices have yet to be announced but tickets will go on sale at the end of this year. Tickets for one and three-day passes will be available to purchase from April 2020 ahead of the expo opening in October 2020.

Tickets will grant you access to all of the programmes, including the daily live shows and pavilions from countries around the world. 192 countries have signed up to participate and the event is being dubbed the ‘most inclusive and diverse expo to be organised’.

Gillian Hamburger, senior vice-president for programming at Expo 2020 Dubai, said: “Every day at Expo 2020, there will be live events, including parades, performances, global music shows, hands-on workshops and other diverse entertainment for all to enjoy. There will be sitewide celebrations on special days such as Diwali, UAE National Day, Christmas, New Year’s Eve, Chinese New Year and International Women’s Day.”
