The mega extension will make Aquaventure one of the world’s biggest waterparks…

Aquaventure waterpark at Atlantis The Palm is set to become one of the world’s biggest next year with the addition of a huge 34-metre tall new tower.

Trident Tower will introduce an impressive 12 new slides to the waterpark on Palm Jumeirah when it opens in the summer of 2020.

The new tower will feature rides for thrill seekers of all ages, including the world’s longest ProSlide MammothBLAST, a 449-metre, family-friendly water coaster and raft rockets that will propel riders through wind channels, drops and uphill climbs for an exhilarating ride.

Guests will also be able to test their nerves on a hybrid, high speed ride set to duel guests through gravity-defying turns and around wide-open saucer features at maximum velocity. We guess we’ll need to hold onto our swimming hats for that one…

A rally racer slide will allow waterpark fans to race their friends and an updated, two-slide Leap of Faith will see guests drop more than 34 metres at stomach churning speeds.

A half kilometre action river (which will be the Middle East’s first) and new children’s area will complete the new additions. The kids area will  feature four mini versions of the adult rides, a child-friendly ‘tornado’ and ‘KIDZ BOWL’, which offers a gentler version of the classic bowl ride.

Aquaventure is already home to more than 20 rides spread across 17 hectares, so we can’t wait to get our thrill on at the new Trident Tower expansion.

The opening of Trident Tower in the summer of 2020 will be swiftly followed by the launch of The Royal Atlantis Resort & Residences, set to open in the third quarter of 2020. Currently under construction adjacent to Atlantis The Palm on Palm Jumeirah, when complete it will comprise of two properties, a 2.3km stretch of private beach, 35 restaurants and bars and an international beach and nightclub.

Already announced restaurants for the Royal Atlantis include outposts by celebrity chefs Costas SpiliadisAriana Bundy, Heston Blumenthal and Jose Andres.

The luxe new hotel will feature 231 luxury apartments for permanent residents, 795 hotel rooms and more than 90 swimming pools. The jewel in the crown will be a stunning rooftop sky pool, which will sit suspended 90 metres above the Palm Jumeirah.
