The Chocolate hit-makers will be taking the stage this summer…

Indie pop rockers The 1975 have just been announced as the next act to grace the stage at Dubai’s new Coca-Cola Arena.

The four-pice British band will take to the stage on Wednesday August 14, with tickets on sale now, priced from Dhs200 and available from the1975dxb.com.

The band, consisting of lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Matthew “Matty” Healy, lead guitarist Adam Hann, bassist Ross MacDonald, and drummer George Daniel, will come to Dubai as part of their world tour, which commenced earlier this year.

When they take to the stage in Dubai, fans can expect to hear some of their best-loved hits including Chocolate, Love Me and Give Yourself A Try.

With three number one albums behind them, The 1975 are set to release their fourth studio album this summer. So, fans will likely also be treated to some new material when the group take to the stage in August.

Tickets for the gig will cost you Dhs200 for bronze, Dhs300 for silver, Dhs350 for gold, Dhs350 for regular standing, Dhs400 for platinum and Dhs895 for golden circle standing.

The Coca-Cola Arena opened with its first mega event on Thursday June 6 as famous funnyman Russell Peters took to the stage. This weekend, it will be the turn of American pop rockers Maroon 5 on Friday June 14.

After The 1975 gig on Wednesday August 14, four-piece Irish boyband Westlife will bring their 20th anniversary tour to the stage at the City Walk Arena on August 29.
