Lowe will host their next Waste Not dining event on Tuesday, September 3…

Living in Dubai, we are not short of restaurants and extravagant brunches with endless buffets, bursting with every cuisine you can imagine. With this however, comes inevitable food wastage.

In a commitment to reducing theirs, sustainable restaurant Lowe are hosting their third Waste Not event on Tuesday, September 3, with a specially-created fine dining menu made out of leftovers that would otherwise be destined for the bin.

The three course meal, priced at Dhs99, will be decided by the chefs with the gourmet dishes scrawled on the back of an old Lowe menu in a further attempt to recycle.

For example, guests can expect dishes like cauliflower stem soup served with crispy potato skins, alongside a few, fairly more out-there creations.

Headed up by New Zealand and Australian chefs Jesse Blake and Kate Christou, Lowe aims to provide its diners with a contemporary dining experience using, where possible, sustainable produce.

The restaurant is found in Koa Canvas, Wadi al Safa, so while it’s a little further out of central Dubai, if you’re looking for a fresh and environmentally-friendly dining experience then its definitely worth the trip.

Tuesday’s Waste Not event follows the resounding success of the first two of these events at Lowe. We recommend booking early as it’s sure to fill up fast.

Lowe’s Waste Not event joins a host of recently introduced sustainability movements being actioned by restaurants across Dubai and the UAE, extending from phasing out single-use plastic, to the Abu Dhabi chef collecting brunch leftovers to feed stray animals.

Keep them coming!
