1. Art Department to perform at Mantis

Dubai’s EDM fans, we’ve got a great excuse for you to carry on the weekend as popular electro DJ, Art Department, has a new monthly residency at Dubai’s Mantis club. His first show will be on Sunday, November 24 at HABITAT, Mantis’ Sunday night offering dedicated to dance, techno and house music. There’ll be free drinks for ladies until 2am.

2. Check out some wow-worthy watches

It’s the last day of Dubai Watch Week today, Sunday November 24, so if you’re a watch enthusiast, get yourself there to marvel at the technology, aesthetics and celebrations of some of the best watches in the industry. As well as a main exhibition, events today include a watchmaking masterclass, ‘The Rolex Experience’ and a miniature painting masterclass (check out the website for times of individual classes). You’ll need to register to attend.

Monday November 25

3. Get the lads together for a new gent’s night

New sports bar Black Goose has just opened at the Sheraton JBR, offering a relaxed atmosphere and some comforting pub-style food. Monday means gents’ night, where guys can win a house beverage or six chicken wings if they correctly predict a coin toss. If not? It’s two-for-one on selected drinks and 50 percent off the food menu.

4. Watch an improv play at Courtyard Playhouse

If you’ve never before seen an improv play, make sure to check out Film Noir at Courtyard Playhouse for a night of fun, surprises and, well, improvised acting on Monday November 25. This one will be themed on murder mystery and the audience will get involved to guide the story, with the actors breaking into song on the spot.

5. Check out a Spanish-themed ladies’ night

Breeze Bar and grill

A brand new ladies’ night is launching at cool beach bar, Breeze on Tuesday November 26, with sangria, tapas and even salsa (the dancing kind) all on the menu. From 7pm, you can choose two hours to suit you where you’ll sip on unlimited red or white sangria and nibble on three tapas dishes for Dhs100. If the guys want to join, they can get three beers and three dishes for Dhs200.

6. Indulge in mussels with unlimited fries

7. Chill out at an outdoor cinema

Die-hard Leonardo Dicaprio fans, you can get your fix of the Hollywood legend at Nikki Beach’s monthly outdoor cinema on Tuesday, November 26. They’ll be playing the 2013 smash-hit Great Gatsby, in which Dicaprio plays Gatsby in Baz Lurhman’s take on the classic 1925 novel by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

8. Try a festive cooking class
