It recently won the esteemed What’s On Newcomer of the Year award…

We’re huge fans of Italian seafood restaurant, Alici, on Bluewaters Island – so much so that it won Newcomer of the year at the What’s On Awards 2019. And clearly we’re not the only ones – as H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Crown Prince of Dubai has just been spotted paying the restaurant a visit.

During his visit, Sheikh Hamdan happily posed for a picture inside the beautiful seafood spot with Piero Giglio, operations director of Orange Hospitality, the hospitality group behind Alici and award-winning Italian, Il Borro Tuscan Bistro.

Sheikh Hamdan took to social media to share a snap of the signature anchovy interiors (Alici means anchovy in Italian), which were hand painted in the restaurant. He also shared another snap from his table on the first floor terrace, with the incredible JBR skyline and cotton candy clouds fading away against the bright blue skies.

It looks like they enjoyed Alici’s freshly baked breads, as well as one of the light house salads.

If you’ve not yet visited Alici, the stunning seafood spot is a must-visit. As well as serving an extensive menu of delicious Italian seafood, the restaurant also boasts some of the most beautiful views in the city, out across JBR and the Dubai Marina skyline.

Open for lunch and dinner, it’s best enjoyed at a table on the first floor terrace. While a mid-week visit offers a relaxed vibe, weekend diners can enjoy their meal to the sounds of a lively house DJ.

Dubai’s Crown Prince has been spotted checking out several hotspots in Dubai recently. Over the last couple of weeks, he’s dined at newly opened DIFC restaurant Shanghai Me, and two new restaurants by chef Izu Ani; Aya and Fika.

We wonder where Sheikh Hamdan will be spotted dining next?
