Exclusive reveal: The Void opens its doors in Studio One Hotel

Your new neighbourhood hangout is here…

Recently What’s On revealed that a new neighbourhood hangout would be opening in Dubai Studio City. Now after its soft opening phase, The Void has opened its doors on the third floor of Studio One Hotel.

You might be wondering about the name. Well, the bar is actually located in an open gap between the lower floors and the upper hotel. Think of it like a rooftop bar – but with a hotel above it – hence ‘The Void’.

It has an informal, industrial style, with concrete flooring, graffiti murals paired with the warm glow of string lights. A natural element has been added with faux foliage around the entrance and throughout the venue.

Guests can choose between bar stools and barrels, or low seated tables to enjoy a meal and drinks with friends. The extensive menu features barbecued dishes such as blackened salmon, ribs, lamb kofta, steaks, burgers and more.

For the little ones, there’s a dedicated area to keep them entertained with certified kids activity provider, Busy Kids, on-hand at the weekends.

On Fridays, battle out against other families at theQuiz Brunch from 1pm to 4pm for the chance to win prizes. The prices for the brunch is Dhs250 per person for adults and Dhs50 for children under 12, which includes workshops and activities with Busy Kids.

When it comes to the soundtrack, you’re in charge, as The Void will have a digital jukebox where guests can choose the next song right from their phone. If you like throwback tunes though, make sure you’re there on Thursdays where you’ll be able to hear the very best classics through the ages.
