Queen Elizabeth II’s state funeral will take place on Monday, September 19 at Westminster Abbey, UK in a service that will be televised around the world. The duties will begin at 9.30am (GST), with the official service taking place at 2pm (GST). The QE2 in Port Rashid will be streaming the coverage from three of their restaurants: The Golden Lion, Queen’s Grill, and Lido Restaurant will all have coverage on from 2pm local time. Lucky Fish West Beach Palm Jumeirah

Gaudi Infinity des Lumières

Love a digital art experience in Dubai? Well, a new show is heading your way to Infinity des Lumieres this September. The immersive show celebrates the distinct minds of three artists: Gaudi, Kandinsky and Klee. The show lasts 45 minutes, with 15 minutes allotted to each artist.

Check out a cool new bar

Bartending extroadinaire Jimmy Barrat has opened a new bar, Ergo, inside the Dubai EDITION. Here, you’ll find a new daily Aperitivo from 6pm to 9pm where two drinks and two bites will set you back Dhs155. Dishes include petit toasts topped with beef tartare, mushroom and parmesan tart and smoked oysters with spicy salsa and cucumber vinaigrette. On the drinks front, choose from rose or red wine or a selection of cocktails that include a Ron Jeremy and Ergo Negroni. Or, upgrade to Champagne and it’s Dhs215.

Wind into the weekend early at a new night brunch

Northern Chinese restaurant Hutong gets the party going with its Dark Brunch on Thursdays from 9pm. It kicks off with rounds of unlimited dim sum and starters, which includes prawn rolls, chicken sui mai and spicy cucumber rolls. Then you get a choice of main with options like pan seared seabass and kungo po chicken followed by a signature dessert platter.
