Sip some coffee while you spill the beans…

Sometimes you just want a quick nibble of something sweet and get that caffeine boost with friends. Here in Dubai, there are many options to satisfy your sweet tooth, so we’ve made decision-making easier for you.

Here’s a list of places for you to enjoy a good combo of coffee and cake in Dubai.

Circle Cafe

A beloved all-you-can-eat breakfast location, but sometimes you don’t want the full English and French toast. At Circle Cafe, you can enjoy a slice of their delicious cakes for only Dhs24 and add a coffee for just one extra dirham. The offer runs after 3pm, so, it’s a great excuse to satisfy that craving between meals while living a soft life.

PappaRoti

Papparoti cake and coffee

Now, this doesn’t technically count as cake, but it is a bun that is pure spongey goodness. These buns are crispy on the outside and soft and filled with butter on the inside. Order it plain or topped with one of their many flavour options. The cheeky Mocha paired with a Nutella-topped bun is a chocolate lover’s dream.

Jones the Grocer

While their food is definitely worth mentioning, the desserts is truly where it’s at. A surprisingly underrated spot to have tea or coffee and cake, the dessert section at Jones the Grocer is not to be shunned or taken lightly. Honey cake, basque burnt cheesecake or saffron milk cake are all options for you to choose from to compliment your cappuccino.

 The Lime Tree Cafe

Lime Tree

Possibly one of the most famous cafes in Dubai, The Lime Tree’s carrot cake is truly out of this world. If you’re a fan of carrot cakes and have never had this particular one, you are seriously missing out. A piping hot flat white paired with this exceptionally moist and perfectly baked carrot cake is the perfect way to catch up with your friends after a busy week. If carrot cake is not for you, that’s okay too. Chocolate cake and salted caramel and dark chocolate brownies are also yummy options…

SO Tea

We absolutely love anything that is homegrown and this Emirati and Japanese-inspired cafe pairs its desserts with different brewed teas. For example, they suggest that the sakura milk cake which is a rose sponge with a vanilla ganache to be paired with their passion ice tea.

SO Tea, Mirdif City Center, open daily 8am to midnight. Tel (0)4 330 0991, soteacafe.com, @soteacafe

Il Caffe Di Roma

Cafe di roma

This coffee shop has recently gone viral, and rightfully so. While it’s not a traditional cake, for Dhs19 you can enjoy a slide of cheesecake on a stick with flavour toppings such as strawberry and Nutella or coconut Oreo. Enjoy a slice on a stick while you sip on a Lavazza coffee.
