Norrie joins British female No.1 Emma Radacanu at the tournament…
Following a nail-biting semi-final appearance at this year’s Wimbledon, Cameron Norrie remains at the top of the British male smashing order. He joins UK women’s number one, Emma Radacanu with an invitation to the Mubadala World Tennis Championship (MWTC) 2022.
The coveted Abu Dhabi tournament will take place between December 16 and 18 at Zayed Sports City. Tickets are available to purchase now via the mubadalawtc.com website and start at Dhs45 for adults (on day one, from Dhs95 for day two and from Dhs195 for day three) . Also confirmed for the event are current World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz, world No.3 Casper Ruud, 2022 US Open semi-finalist Frances Tiafoe and defending champion Andrey Rublev.
We’ll also get to watch a thrilling women’s clash with two of the sport’s most exciting aces on day one as World No.2 Ons Jabeur returns to defend her title against US Open 2021 winner, Emma Raducanu.
That means there’s just one more name to be announced before we’ve collected the full ‘set’.
Talking about the announcement, Cameron Norrie said “I am excited for December, after seeing the impressive line-up for the Mubadala World Tennis Championship,” said Norrie. “I’ve never played in Abu Dhabi before so I am sure it will be a memorable experience and I’m looking forward to meeting my fans there, competing against some of the best names in tennis, and, of course, spending some time in the city.”
