Gipsy Kings are coming to Dubai this October

Get ready to hear Bamboleo, Volare and more as the Grammy-winning group returns with a brand-new symphonic show at Dubai Opera

There’s a good chance you’ve heard – and danced to – Bamboleo more times than you can count, whether at a wedding, a party or somewhere along the way. This October, you’ll get to hear the globally iconic hit live, alongside an evening of the Gipsy Kings’ biggest songs, as the band returns to Dubai Opera with its first-ever symphonic show in the city.

Gipsy Kings 101

Before they became a global name, the Gipsy Kings started out playing rumba flamenca rooted in southern France. Fast forward a few decades and they’re one of the world’s best-known music groups, with more than 60 million albums sold, a Grammy Award and fans across every continent. Led by founder André Reyes, they’ve built a catalogue that crosses languages, generations and genres without losing the flamenco sound that made them famous.

Beyond Bamboleo

Yes, Bamboleo is the one everyone knows, but it’s only the beginning. From Djobi Djoba and Volare to Un Amor, the Gipsy Kings have spent decades creating songs that have become part of weddings, holidays, road trips and dance floors around the world. This time, those classics will be performed with the backing of a full orchestra, giving fans a chance to hear the music in a completely different way while keeping the band’s signature guitars, vocals and Latin rhythms at the heart of the show.

The return to Dubai 

After several sold-out shows in the city, the Gipsy Kings are returning to Dubai Opera with Gipsy Kings Symphonic. Taking place on Thursday October 22, the performance marks the group’s first symphonic theatre show in Dubai, pairing their biggest hits with a live orchestra on one of the city’s most iconic stages.
