Make your own fragrance

A few weeks ago, we asked ChatGPT to plan the perfect day in Dubai, and after some coaxing, we were sent to Alserkal for a day of creative fun. We wandered around and stumbled upon a place called Oo La Lab. If you’ve ever wondered how perfume is made and how you could possibly create your own unique scent, then look no further than Oo La Lab. Select from a range of scents, mix them all together in a workshop, name your scent and walk away smelling like you.

Oo La Lab, Alserkal Avenue, Al Quoz, open daily, 10am to 8pm, from Dhs250. @oola.lab

Live like the French at Couqley with Moules Frites

It’s one of our favourite bistros and for good reason. Couqley offers up an incredible selection of specials all week. This week we recommend trying out the moules frites Tuesdays (mostly because we’ve been craving them.) For Dhs199 per person, enjoy unlimited mussels and two glasses of wine. You won’t regret it. And to make matters better, you can also indulge at the Downtown branch too.

Amazonico is pledging to plant a tree for every person who dines at the restaurant on Thursday, June 22. In collaboration with One Tree Planted, a long-time charity partner of the venue – they are joining forces once again to donate one tree for every person who dines at the venues, globally.
